The following link is from an article I wrote for the Society of Technical Analysts Magazine.
The aim of the article was to
provide an introduction to the subject of Behavioral Finance.
Behavioral Finance and Behavioral Economics looks at Human Behaviour as a
key factor in the decisions people make in financial markets, and helps
to explain why people do not act with rationality in economic and
financial decision-making. I think the rise of Behavioural Finance and
Economics is showing technical analysis in a new light, and that the
price action patterns and behaviours which T/A tried to decipher in
identifying value is becoming more accepted and mainstream. However, I
do think it might take years if not decades for the academic community
to start accepting the validity of T/A beyond a Pseudo-Science.
